VLADIMIR GURYANOV PARTICIPATED IN THE FORUM “NORTH-CAUCASUS-2022: MEASURES TO INCREASE ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY UNDER SANCTIONS”

On March 29 Pyatigorsk hosted a forum on economic sustainability under sanctions. The event was organized by the Office of the Presidential Envoy to the North-Caucasus Federal District, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the North-Caucasus Federal University, the co-organizer was the Regional Branch of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) in the Stavropol Territory. The forum was attended by the chairman of the regional branch of the RSPP in the Stavropol Territory, the chairman of the board of directors, vice-president of Arnest AO Vladimir Guryanov.

Representatives of federal and regional authorities, business community, banking and development institutions gathered at the forum. The event was attended by the Minister of Economic Development of the RF Maksim Reshetnikov, Presidential Envoy to the North-Caucasus Federal District Yuri Chayka, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the RF Andrey Razin, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the RF Aleksey Besprozvannykh, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security of the RF Elena Mukhtiyarova and others. The aim of the forum was to strengthen and expand the open dialogue between the authorities and the business community, promptly consider the initiatives of various entities at all levels and implement them in economic and social processes.

The chairman of the regional branch of the RSPP in the Stavropol territory Vladimir Guryanov welcomed the participants. He noted that operational headquarters ensuring economic sustainability are functioning at all levels of the executive branch, municipal units and employers’ associations to eliminate the threats. Initiatives and proposals on further measures to stabilize the economy and social security are collected on a daily basis.

During the event it was noted that measures for stabilizing prices of essential goods, tax incentives and reduction of pressure on businesses, support of backbone enterprises and small and medium-sized businesses are already being implemented. Great attention is paid to the issues of social support for the population and labor market, maintaining employment level. Forum participants also discussed priority measures to adapt business and economy.
