First round of Nevinnomyssk football championship for amateur teams “Arnest football league”, which started in September 2019, came to an end on December 6. 28 teams took part in the championship and Arnest team became the champion of the season 2019-2020.
The championship was sponsored by Arnest AO and other companies. 28 city teams contended for the football championship, but only eight advanced to the play-off and competed for the champion’s cup. “Resurs” and “Kavkazelectroservis” teams fought for third place and the latter was victorious. Next face-off was between “Arnest” and “Nikoplast” teams. Arnest football team won 5:3 in a tight contest. The winners’ pot amounted to 120 thousand rubles.
In the end of the tournament best players of the season were awarded. In Arnest team Victor Starchik became the best midfielder and Sergey Shevchenko became the best player. The players received gifts from sponsors, award statuettes and certificates. The second round of football championship for amateur teams “Arnest football league” starts in the spring 2021 and enrolment of participants has already begun in Nevinnomyssk.
