The results of the federal stage of “Exporter of the Year 2021” contest organized by Russian Export Centre chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister of RF Government Andrey Belousov were summarized and based on the results of online voting Arnest AO took the first place in nomination “New Geography” and second place in nomination “Industry Exporter of the Year” in large business category.
The number of applications for the Russian contest “Exporter of the Year” is growing every year. Only about 50 exporters participated in the contest in 2018, while in 2019 there were 1.6 thousand participants and in 2020 – more than 1.7 thousand. This year there were more than 1.8 thousand applications, which is a record high for this award since its establishment! Arnest AO participated in two nominations of the contest and reached the final taking two first places at the regional stage in NCFD.
In 2021 Arnest AO expanded export horizons and shipped products to Austria, Italy, Greece, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Portugal, Australia, Panama and Libya for the first time. The company set itself the task of doubling the quantity of goods for export compared to last year and expand supply geography.
Winners of the federal stage will be awarded at the International Export Forum “Made in Russia” at the end of 2021.
The award “Best Russian Exporter” was established in 1998. Since 2008 the contest has been held under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the RF. In 2015 the award changed its name to “Exporter of the Year” and non-resource export became the main criterion for selecting participants. Besides it was decided to abandon industry focus, when choosing winners. The new format allowed all subjects of export activities, including small and medium entrepreneurs to participate in the contest.
