On the 17th of June within the framework of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, there was signed an agreement, involving the opening of modern manufacturing of pharmaceutical and para-pharmaceutical products in aerosol packaging in Russia on the basis of OJSC Arnest. The tripartite document was signed by the president of Arnest Group Alex Sagal, Rector of St. Petersburg state chemical-pharmaceutical academy Igor Narkevitch and the president of the Association of Italian entrepreneurs in Russia Maria Luisa Barone in the presence of Vice-President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) Victor Cherepov, the Coordinating Council of the RSPP offices in the North Caucasus Federal District Vladimir Guryanov, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Khloponin and the Minister of North Caucasus Affairs Lev Kuznetsov.
Parties to the agreement intend to consolidate their efforts on the development and implementation of technologies for the production of import-substituting drugs, medical products and parapharmaceutical funds, including those based on the breakthrough synthesis technologies of active pharmaceutical substances. The project is focused on contract manufacturing of products for the Russian and international pharmaceutical companies and specialized networks of pharmacies. Being the leader of the domestic aerosol industry OJSC Arnest will take the necessary certification procedures for the start-up of medicines manufacture. Capital capacity of the project accounts for 2 billion rubles. The idea of a new production launch attracted the attention and support of the Russian Federation authorities interested in implementing of import substitution rational policy and reducing critical dependence on technology and industrial products non-localized in the country, including pharmaceuticals.
